Manscaped’s Crop Preserver fits that bill.īasically, this is a scented lotion that’s supposed to work as a crotch deodorant. Trying to prevent “swamp crotch” seems to be the goal of a lot of the mens crotch grooming products that are coming out these days. But honestly, after comparing it to drug store ear and nose hair trimmers at half the price, I don’t think it really offers anything unique. The Weed WhackerĪn addition to their range of trimmers, the Weed Whacker is based on a long-running model for ear and nose hair trimmers.Īfter testing it, I could tell that it works well - pain free, smooth trimming, feels good in the hand. So overall: Pretty cool, but I’m not convinced that it’s worth the $90 price tag. It’s not quite as nice to hold or use as Meridian’s trimmer, but it does a lot better job than a standard drug store hair trimmer. Unless you’re shaving in the dark, why do you really need an LED light on your trimmer? And if you are shaving in the dark - why?Įven so, the Lawnmower 4.0 does give a pretty smooth and snag-free trim. In my opinion, some of that is just gimmicky. It’s a trimmer for your family jewels that’s equipped with all the modern bells and whistles: A USB-C charging port, wireless charging dock, LED spotlight, quiet operation, and a waterproof design. The Lawnmower was Manscaped’s very first offering, and it’s now in its 4th edition. They partner with the Testicular Cancer Society to help raise awareness for men’s health issues. Their flagship product is a gentle trimmer for your crotch, and each of their other items backs up their cause of keeping guys fresh and clean below the belt. Manscaped is a men’s health and hygiene company that’s putting a lot of money into building a brand through advertising and influencer marketing. “Premium” claims aren’t always backed up.Lacking materials/manufacturing details for some products.Overly masculine approach is a turn-off.The branding is a bit juvenile and tacky, in my opinion.Good value for the price on body wash and shampoo.Pleasant, classic fragrances for their grooming products.Weed Whacker is great for nose and ear hair. The real standouts are actually their body wash and shampoo, where you get a lot of well-made product for the price. Manscaped has a very specific sort of branding that I find a little bit immature and tacky. In the sections to come, I’ll give you my honest opinion of how they stack up to the competition - and whether they’re really worth spending your money on. I’ve tried and tested eight of Manscaped’s most popular products for this review. But do their products really live up to the hype? They’re a huge company at this point that’s looking to take over the downstairs grooming market for men. If you watch television, spend any time on social media, or even walk by enough billboards, you already know about Manscaped.
